Certificate Programs

 

Certificate in Executive Leadership | Certificate in Finance | Certificate in Fund Development

The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence offers the following three Certificate Programs in partnership with the Graduate School of Business at Christian Brothers University. For more information about the Certificate Programs offered by the Alliance please email training@npexcellence.org.

Individuals who complete at least 100 hours of training through individual workshops, webinars, and conferences with the Alliance are eligible to apply for graduate credit toward their Master in Business Administration degree at CBU.  For more information about the CMBA Program at Christian Brothers University, please visit CBU's Graduate Business program website or contact Dr. Scott Lawyer, mlawyer@cbu.edu.

 

Certificate in Executive Leadership
The Certificate in Executive Leadership will be awarded to individuals who complete a minimum of 24.5 hours of courses in this core area.  This program will provide an understanding of the fundamentals of organizational leadership and management of a nonprofit organization.  To qualify for the certificate, individuals must take the required course (16 hours) and elective courses in this core area equivalent to a minimum of 8.5 additional hours.

Required Course: Executive Director Boot Camp (16 hours)

Cost for Certificate Program: No Package Price for Certificate Program; Pay-as-you-go for Electives

Executive Director Boot Camp: $249 for Members; $399 for Non-Members

Certificate in Finance
The Certificate in Finance will be awarded to individuals who complete a minimum of 24.5 hours of courses in this core area.  This program provides participants with an understanding of the principal concepts of nonprofit finance.  To qualify for the certificate, individuals must take the required course (7 hours) and elective courses in this core area equivalent to a minimum of 17.5 additional hours.

Required Course: Nonprofit Finance 101 (7 hours)

Certificate in Fund Development
The Certificate in Fund Development will be awarded to individuals who complete a minimum of 24.5 hours of courses in this core area.  This program will provide an understanding of fundraising and the various approaches to securing resources for a nonprofit organization.  To qualify for the certificate, individuals must take the required course (7 hours) and elective courses in this core area equivalent to a minimum of 17.5 additional hours.

Required Course: Grant Writing 101  OR  Fund Development 101 (7 hours)
